Tweetdeck - Getting Twitter Under Control…
I have been using Twitter for quite some time now and overall I like what it has to offer. If you are happy for parts of your life to be an open book, then you should probably give it a try too.
However, one of the things that is not so brilliant about Twitter is its ability to show you what you want in the way that you want it. This is where Tweetdeck comes in. This is an application that runs on Adobe Air and allows you to categorize your ‘tweets’ into different groups and windows so that they are easier to see. Of course this all depends on who you follow, but sometimes it’s difficult to see the woods for the trees when you’re watching someone who’s very prolific in their tweeting.
You can also use Tweetdeck to post tweets and this is actually another area where the application wins. It will automatically shorten URLs and pictures and generally helps you stay completely organized.
So if you’d like to try Twitter but don’t like the default interface, give Tweetdeck a shot. I like it!
